Job Requisition ID # 26WD99013 Role Overview Join Autodesk as an Account Executive, Strategic Accounts Management, where you will take charge of acquiring high growth, net new strategic accounts. You’ll leverage your creativity, customer obsession, and strategic insight to effectively communicate Autodesk's unique value proposition. This position involves proactive prospecting to uncover exciting new business opportunities, accelerating engagement with accounts that have high growth potential. You will lead and mentor junior team members, build long-term customer relationships, apply strong CRM practices, and collaborate across departments for seamless execution and post-sale transitions. This is a remote role with travel requirements of up to 40%. Key Responsibilities Drive Strategic Account Acquisition: Lead outbound prospecting to attract and secure high-growth potential accounts, focusing on acquiring new logo opportunities. Position Autodesk's Unique Value Proposition: Clearly articulate Autodesk's distinct advantages to clinch competitive opportunities. Opportunity Development & Team Leadership: Spearhead opportunity development for new and re-engaged accounts while mentoring junior colleagues throughout the sales process. Customer Engagement & Account Activation: Create compelling customer-facing materials, facilitate customer interactions and QBRs, and ensure high-quality communication throughout. Own the complete account acquisition and growth process, including negotiation and closure for strategic accounts. Skills & Competencies Prospecting & Hunter Mindset: Exhibit outstanding prospecting abilities and a strong drive to secure new business. Strategic Orientation & Technical Familiarity: Develop an in-depth understanding of Autodesk products and align solutions with customer requirements. Industry & Business Expertise: Leverage insights into customer business models and industry trends to tailor value-focused messaging. Relationship Building: Cultivate long-lasting relationships and advocacy with senior executive stakeholders. CRM Discipline & Data Analysis: Implement CRM best practices to manage pipeline, analyze trends, and guide strategic decision-making. ATU (Account Team Unit) Collaboration Team Orchestration: Work closely with Business Development Representatives to identify, qualify, and convert high-potential prospects and opportunities. Specialist Coordination: Lead collaboration with sales and technical specialists to develop solution strategies that accelerate customer deals. Co-sell with Partners: Partner with external collaborators on customer acquisition initiatives, including opportunity qualification and service offerings. Insight Sharing: Share customer insights and sales performance information proactively across teams and regions. Post-Sale Handoff: Ensure a smooth transition of newly acquired or re-engaged accounts to establish a foundation for long-term growth. Required Qualifications 4+ years of B2B sales experience as an account executive, specifically in new business or logo acquisition roles, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment. Proven success in outbound prospecting and securing new strategic or high-growth accounts. Experience managing complex sales cycles from prospecting through to deal closure. Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach fellow sales team members. Strong CRM expertise with a track record of effectively using data to manage the pipeline and prioritize opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling enterprise or strategic solutions to executive-level customers. Background in SaaS, subscription, or platform-based business models. Experience coordinating multi-stakeholder sales processes with technical specialists and partners. Familiarity with value-based selling, QBR facilitation, and storytelling for executive audiences. Experience within a cross-regional sales organization. Prior exposure to Autodesk products, industries, or go-to-market strategies. Salary Transparency As part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package, we offer a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) in the range of $151,900 to $272,250 for U.S.-based sales roles. OTE encompasses base salary plus commission targets. Compensation offers are tailored based on individual experience and geographic location and may be higher than this range. Our compensation includes annual cash bonuses, commissions, stock grants, and comprehensive benefits.
