The Core Infrastructure team at Coinbase is responsible for the foundational systems that keep our products secure, scalable, and operational. We manage the compute, networking, and storage platforms that power Coinbase applications worldwide, ensuring every product operates reliably, cost-effectively, and with the resilience required in a regulated, always-on financial environment. As a Product Manager at level 5, you will take ownership of the roadmap that focuses on scalability, resilience, and efficiency of Coinbase's core infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with engineering and SRE teams to assess cloud platforms, enhance compute and networking systems, and design resilient services that guarantee Coinbase's crypto applications operate consistently, securely, and at a global scale. What You'll Do: Manage the product roadmap for Coinbase's core infrastructure, concentrating on scalability, resiliency, and cost efficiency. Partner with engineering, SRE, and infrastructure teams to design reliable compute, networking, and storage systems across multiple regions and clouds. Lead the assessment and implementation of infrastructure technologies (compute, networking, storage, observability) to enhance performance and maintain uptime during peak demand. Anticipate growth due to product launches and traffic spikes, ensuring infrastructure capacity scales in advance of demand. Establish and monitor SLAs for uptime, latency, and resiliency, and work with engineering to consistently meet or exceed these expectations. Provide reliable, secure, and compliant infrastructure services to accelerate product delivery for Coinbase teams. What We Look For: The ability to translate infrastructure challenges into actionable product strategies and measurable results. A proven track record in scaling globally distributed systems and core services to manage large, dynamic workloads with high reliability. Strong collaboration skills with engineering, SRE, and security teams. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies, such as Kubernetes, service mesh, distributed storage, networking, and observability platforms. Comfort in balancing cost, performance, scalability, and compliance needs in regulated industries. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with infrastructure for high-volume, low-latency, and always-on applications. ID: GPPM05US Compensation Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this role ranges from $180,370 to $212,200 USD.
