Electric Transmission Line Engineer

Description Join our innovative team as an Electric Transmission Line Engineer, where you will tackle exciting challenges in electric transmission design. We are looking for a passionate professional to contribute to projects that impact some of the largest utilities in the country. Your role will involve designing extra high-voltage (EHV) overhead and underground systems, employing standards such as NESC, ASCE, and ACI. You will engage in diverse engineering tasks, including: Engineering analyses Preparing bidding documents Drafting plans and specifications Creating material procurement and construction documents This position requires collaboration with a dynamic Leidos team and interactions with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel. Work Location: The ideal candidate should reside in Colorado or Minnesota to work remotely; however, all qualified candidates in the U.S. are welcome to apply. Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE 2+ years of relevant experience in electric utility transmission system design with a Bachelor's or 1+ years with a Master's degree Ability to work both in teams and independently Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client and team collaboration Willingness to work in client offices or travel as needed Desired Experience: Familiarity with TOWER software EIT or PE certification Experience with LPILE, FAD, Mathcad, AutoCAD or MicroStation, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Every professional journey is unique, and at Leidos, we support your career development with a multitude of opportunities. Pay Range: $59,150.00 - $106,925.00 This pay range is a guideline and may vary according to role responsibilities, education, experience, and other relevant factors.
