Essential Functions Know, understand, incorporate, and consistently demonstrate the Mission, Vision, and Values of Trinity Health Senior Communities in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Execute assignments in a culture that is shared and collaborative across all divisions within THSC. Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions as outlined in established maintenance policies and procedures. Perform various maintenance/custodial duties. Floor care Repair drains, faucets and other plumbing fixtures Repair community equipment, minor kitchen equipment and HVAC Mount pictures, bulletin boards, curtain rods, etc. Install shelving, make adjustments and repairs on cabinets Repair and install cove base and handrails Calibrate thermostats Operates and tests generator Performs preventative maintenance as assigned Perform routine servicing of grounds, parking areas, driveways etc., including sidewalk snow removal, salting, removal of debris, and keeping walkway and entrances clean and orderly Follow established safety precautions, including fire safety, when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies Attend and participate in scheduled training and in-service training, mandatory annual in-service training and educational classes as required/needed Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Applicable trade school education preferred. Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and well as various mechanical and electrical and plumbing systems. Able to read and interpret blueprints and knowledge of building codes and safety regulations. Previous experience working in a long-term care or with geriatric population preferred. Must possess superior customer service skills and professionalism. Must possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast paced, customer-driven environment. Ability to work with residents based their cognitive ability. Self-starter and highly motivated. Possess a high degree of personal accountability, responsibility, and strong decision making abilities. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures of the organization.
