The nurse will work night shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:5-6. The position requires experience in telemetry and oncology care. The nurse will be responsible for administering and monitoring chemotherapy, managing ports, and accessing IVs. The role involves working with adult patients in an acute care setting. The unit has specific patient diagnoses related to medical, surgical, and oncology needs. Additional responsibilities include the use of rapid response and code teams. The nurse must adhere to isolation precautions and use of personal protective equipment. Weekend coverage is required, with two shifts every other weekend. The nurse may float within the scope of practice as needed by the facility. Candidates will be expected to provide care in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary support.
