Role Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized tools and observational methods. Create tailored treatment plans that target immediate objectives while considering long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop comprehensive care strategies. Educate patients and their families to support continued progress outside of therapeutic sessions. Occasionally participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of care. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Stay updated with the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education and collaborative initiatives. Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of start date. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all ages, with a solid understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to adapt therapy techniques to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Sound clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
