Adecco is recruiting for a Buyer for a client in Syracuse, NY. Title: Buyer - Purchasing Department (Long-Term Temporary Contract) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Pay: $25/hour Position Overview: We are seeking a Buyer to join our Purchasing Department on a long-term temporary contract. The Buyer will manage procurement of materials and services to support manufacturing operations, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and strong supplier performance. Responsibilities: Process and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies Coordinate with Production and Planning to support manufacturing schedules Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and delivery Expedite orders and resolve purchasing issues (shortages, late deliveries, invoice discrepancies) Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP/MRP systems Support supplier evaluations and cost-saving initiatives Qualifications: Previous experience in Purchasing, Buying, or Procurement Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred ERP/MRP system experience (SAP preferred) Intermediate Excel skills Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities Preferred Qualifications: Experience purchasing manufacturing materials or services Knowledge of inventory management and production planning Ability to analyze purchasing data and vendor performance Why Apply: Long-term temporary contract with competitive pay Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Opportunity to gain manufacturing and procurement experience Pay Details: $25.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
