Key Responsibilities This position is located at Leidos' main campus in Huntsville, AL. The selected candidate will: Ensure effective and efficient execution of new and ongoing programs for a diverse range of Department of Defense customers. Provide leadership to nurture a talented engineering team, mentoring junior engineers into competent technical contributors and future leaders. Offer technical direction in maintaining and enhancing software and firmware for radar and electronic warfare sensor systems, including real-time architectures and signal processing algorithms. Develop and strengthen existing customer relationships while fostering new ones to expand our customer base. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred) with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience. Proven experience collaborating with teams to develop and integrate radar and/or electronic warfare sensor technologies. Strong technical knowledge of enabling technologies for RF and EW sensors, including real-time software, high-speed networking, and radar signal processing algorithms. Proficient in C++ and object-oriented design principles. Robust software engineering background with experience in establishing engineering best practices such as configuration management and coding standards. Ability to recognize business development opportunities and assist in proposal efforts. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret clearance. Willingness to relocate to the Huntsville-North Alabama region if not currently residing there. Preferred Qualifications Radar Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Familiarity with MATLAB and CUDA. Understanding of VHDL (preferred but not mandatory). Experience in the recruitment and interviewing of technical personnel.
