Communications Security Officer, Information Security

Join us at AWS as we are looking for a Communications Security (COMSEC) Officer to manage and further develop our COMSEC Program. This role will require you to engage continuously with various mission partners and manage multiple COMSEC accounts across the United States. Key Responsibilities: Establish and uphold all regional COMSEC accounts, ensuring on-site troubleshooting, network deployment, regular keying, and inventorying of devices, along with compliance administrative tasks. Appoint and provide training for partner teams to address ad-hoc requirements. Revise AWS policy documents to align with overarching customer compliance needs. Conduct thorough audits of individual accounts. Review new program proposals requiring COMSEC to secure program integrity. Advise management and mission partners on current and future COMSEC postures for all AWS locations. Maintain relationships with Government customers and COMSEC vendors, offering expert guidance on COMSEC standards and policies. Act as a COMSEC subject matter expert in inter-agency working groups, committees, and task forces. Ensure 100% accountability for all COMSEC items. Oversee multiple COMSEC accounts and subaccounts across different sites. Develop and refine operating procedures and Emergency Action Plans (EAP) tailored to site-specific and mission partner needs. Conduct semi-annual COMSEC and EAP training for all AWS custodians. Complete necessary backups, system upgrades, reconciliations, and inventories of COMSEC materials. Prepare and ship COMSEC materials following mission partner guidelines. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support information security programs. Why Work with Us? BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of experience in networking or IT support for the Federal Government. Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 2+ years of COMSEC experience as a Primary or Alternate COMSEC Custodian. Experience with various Type 1 Cryptographic devices, keys, and loaders. Experience in roles focused on ensuring Federal Government compliance. Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders. We are located in Hilliard, OH, offering a competitive annual salary range of $102,000.00 - $178,400.00 USD.
