The Role We are seeking a Lead Product Manager to spearhead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for Datavant's emerging Legal & Insurance vertical. The goal of this vertical is to streamline the process of medical record retrieval and deliver high-value services to attorneys, copy services, and insurance requesters. In this position, you will: Define and manage the long-term product vision and strategy for the Legal & Insurance vertical. Collaborate across engineering, data science, operations, and design to build this business line from the ground up. Shape the underlying workflows, data models, and platform logic necessary for scalable, compliant solutions. Work in partnership with executive leadership to set priorities, direct investments, and ensure cross-functional alignment. Utilize advanced AI technology to design innovative solutions in data-rich scenarios. Serve as a thought leader and mentor, helping to enhance the product management practice within Datavant. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will lead strategy and vision while managing execution details to launch products successfully. This position presents a unique chance to establish a new vertical at Datavant from its inception-perfect for a Principal-level PM who excels in navigating ambiguity, clarifying complexities, and enjoys building at the crossroads of healthcare, legal, insurance, and data. What You'll Bring 8-12+ years of product management experience with a successful record of leading complex, enterprise-grade, data-centric products. Proven capability to define product strategy and influence company direction, going beyond mere roadmaps. Experience with data exchange, retrieval, or healthcare data products; expertise in legal, insurance, or medical record retrieval is a plus. Comfort designing products in regulated, high-stakes environments, balancing compliance with user experience considerations. Adept at simplifying complexity and influencing executives, technical leaders, and non-technical stakeholders. A record of mentoring other PMs and enhancing product quality and impact. A collaborative team player with a self-starter mentality-thrives in uncertainty, learns rapidly, and executes diligently. A strategic thinker who can transition seamlessly between vision and execution, adeptly balancing long-term strategy with hands-on product delivery. The estimated total cash compensation for this role ranges from $193,000 to $242,000 USD.
