The Clinical Associate Chief Officer will oversee and guide Clinical Directors within the assigned market. This role is responsible for center performance, financial objectives, growth, and cultivating a positive culture. In addition to clinical duties as a Primary Care Provider (PCP), the position includes leadership responsibilities aimed at enhancing team performance and engagement, fostering clinical-operations synergy, and shaping a strong workplace culture. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage clinical outcomes and daily operations of Medical Directors across multiple centers, with regular engagement within the centers. Ensure the achievement of market earnings and successful clinical operations. Coach and mentor Medical Directors to drive outstanding clinical results. Support the development of PCPs, NPs, and Medical Directors through training and performance management. Foster a physician culture aligned with ChenMed’s core model, values, and service standards. Assist in onboarding new practitioners at assigned centers. Participate in recruiting and interviewing PCP and specialist candidates. Collaborate with Clinical COE and Talent Acquisition to enhance clinical talent growth. Establish and nurture relationships with payers, specialists, and community organizations. Monitor and promote a positive workplace culture and address concerns proactively. Review center-level referrals and support market referral processes. Additional duties may include: Support market quality and performance improvement initiatives. Facilitate monthly scorecard reviews and quarterly clinical metric analysis. Provide training to other ChenMed entities as required. Develop strong relationships with local providers and stakeholders. Leverage local market knowledge to advance clinical initiatives. Enhance credibility and trust within the team. Assist with implementing cost reduction strategies within the market. Deliver exceptional clinical care to a patient panel as a PCP (20% of time). Perform other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: MD or DO in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, or a related specialty required. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required; 3 years preferred. Preferred experience as a Medical Director with Medicare or Medicaid populations. Board eligibility is required; board certification preferred. Current medical license in the state of employment. Proven track record of high-quality clinical leadership. Experience managing a patient panel exceeding 400 patients with excellent clinical outcomes. Experience working in interdisciplinary quality improvement teams preferred.
