A Brief Overview As a certified Safelite Repair Specialist I, you will use advanced technology to repair vehicle glass. You will embody the Safelite Spirit with a positive attitude, a caring approach, and a service-oriented mindset—delivering exceptional happiness to our customers through quality workmanship. This seasonal role requires availability on Saturdays and varies days off based on business needs, with expected employment through the end of August. What You Will Do Learn to repair vehicle glass in a classroom setting and through hands-on training under the guidance of experienced technicians. Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass issues effectively on customer vehicles. Manage work orders and customer communication using Safelite’s Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology. Promote and sell Safelite promotional items. Keep customer vehicles clean during repair downtime and perform housekeeping tasks in company vehicles and shop. Safely operate company and customer vehicles and use company-issued tools and chemicals responsibly throughout the workday. Comply with all company policies and standards and perform other duties as assigned to support team and business needs. What You'll Get Competitive weekly pay starting at $23.50 per hour. Paid training along with all necessary tools and resources to help you succeed. Education Qualifications High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent preferred. Valid state-issued driver's license and any additional licenses needed to operate a company vehicle are required. Completion of Safelite SafeTech certification is required through on-the-job training. Experience Qualifications Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. Skills and Abilities Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. for short periods; assist in lifting windshields weighing 26 lbs. to 50 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces; bend and twist as needed. Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Ability to operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all relevant laws and to be monitored via camera technology. Demonstrates professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Capable of safely working outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods. Ability to work with chemicals, including flammable substances, following Safelite's safety protocols. Flexible availability to accommodate customers' needs, including adjusting start and end times. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively or independently. Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting the English language and technical directions. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Maintain a professional appearance in line with company uniform and PPE standards. Demonstrates stable performance under pressure, meeting productivity standards. This position involves driving duties monitored through cameras and GPS to ensure safety and compliance.
