Job Description Assess patients from pediatric to geriatric populations through comprehensive evaluations and observational strategies. Create tailored treatment plans focused on immediate goals as well as long-term objectives related to communication, cognition, or swallowing. Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and safe swallowing practices. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care strategies. Enhance patient and family engagement by providing education that aids the rehabilitation process outside of our clinical walls. Support inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, contributing to seamless continuity of care. Keep meticulous and timely records consistent with all regulatory standards at the local, state, and federal levels. Engage in continuous education and professional discussions to stay ahead of advancements in the field. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified. Certifications Required State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within the first 30 days of employment. Desirable Skills Strong command over evidence-based treatment modalities catering to all age groups, alongside a deep understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills with patients, caregivers, and fellow healthcare providers. Adaptability to adjust therapeutic techniques to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Solid clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency with electronic health record systems and documentation requirements.
