Franchise Bookkeeper

What you'll do... As a skilled Bookkeeper at H&R Block, you will play a vital role in offering excellent bookkeeping, payroll services, and customer support. Your contributions will help us fulfill our mission to assist and inspire communities everywhere. What you'll bring to the role: Accurately post financial transactions into subsidiary books and general ledgers. Reconcile and balance accounts to maintain financial accuracy. Generate and analyze comprehensive financial statements. Prepare and process payroll efficiently. Prepare tax statements, including generating 1099s and W2s. Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts. Support client retention efforts and explore growth opportunities. Your Expertise: High school diploma or equivalent. National bookkeeping and payroll certifications from the National Bookkeeping Association, or willingness to obtain these certifications. 1-3 years of relevant bookkeeping experience. Understanding of bookkeeping practices and generally accepted accounting principles. Ability to interpret and apply detailed instructions, policies, and regulations. Professionalism and discretion when managing confidential information. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to multi-task and work independently. It would be even better if you also had... Experience with Xero accounting software. This office is an independently owned and operated franchise office operating under an agreement with H&R Block.
