About the Role We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Underwriting Strategy to lead our commercial trucking and transportation insurance programs. In this pivotal role, you will shape underwriting strategies, enhance product development, and drive profitable growth within our portfolio. Your expertise in trucking insurance, especially in automobile liability, will be key to building exceptional underwriting capabilities both internally and externally. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee commercial trucking underwriting operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and implement innovative underwriting strategies that support business goals. Direct product development initiatives that expand our offerings and meet market demands. Manage portfolio performance with a focus on profitability and risk management. Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier and reinsurance partners to strengthen our market position. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess: A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial trucking insurance, with expertise in underwriting, product management, or program leadership. Proven senior leadership experience with P&L or portfolio ownership responsibility. A strong track record in fleet and non-fleet trucking underwriting, pricing, and risk selection. Experience in scaling commercial trucking insurance programs successfully. Excellent relationship management skills and a history of launching new trucking products. The ability to collaborate with technology and operations teams to modernize underwriting processes. A focus on mentoring and developing high-performing underwriting teams. A Bachelor's degree and CPCU certification are preferred. Travel Requirement: Less than 10% Function: Finance
