Electrical Cost Estimator for Transportation Projects

We're thrilled to present a great opportunity for an Electrical Cost Estimator specializing in transportation projects, with extensive estimating experience on large-scale endeavors ranging from $5M to $10B. This vital role plays a key part in supporting our clients and projects nationwide, including heavy civil works, highways, bridges, transit systems, railways, airports, and urban developments. As an essential team member, you'll be responsible for thoroughly reviewing design documents, specifications, proposals, and drawings. Your participation in design development meetings will allow you to evaluate the risks and cost implications needed to produce precise estimates. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing detailed capital cost estimates for a variety of transportation and transit projects. Reviewing contractor proposals across diverse procurement types. Validating change orders to confirm their accuracy. Effectively engaging with clients to present capital cost assessments. Maintaining organized project files, records, and logs. Participating in project meetings as needed. Holding at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Possessing a successful background in cost estimating specifically within transportation projects. Demonstrating proficiency in MS Office, HCSS (HeavyBid) estimating software, and BlueBeam. We also prefer candidates who have: A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline. 10-15 years of experience in estimating and heavy civil construction. Experience with alternative delivery procurement methods. An understanding of the interrelationship between cost, risk, and scheduling. Certifications such as CEP, CCP, PMP, or CCM, which are highly regarded.
