Lead Principal Data Scientist

In this role, you will: Conduct in-depth analyses of operational data to uncover objective insights that support business leaders. Initiate and lead advanced analytics projects, showcasing the value of data in strategic decisions. Empower others in data wrangling and analysis by sharing your knowledge and best practices. Create visually compelling presentations to communicate complex data insights effectively. Develop and implement advanced analytical methods that yield actionable insights for stakeholders and business development partners. Prioritize automation and identify opportunities for implementing automated solutions. Take a lead role in AI and ML initiatives and contribute to the development of AI/ML code for various projects. Utilize programming languages and SQL to manage data and serve as the primary contact for analytical usage across multiple initiatives. Guide operational partners on product performance and identify opportunities for improvement and progress. Engage in intra-company data initiatives while fostering relationships within the organization. Continuously learn and apply new skills in advanced analytics and AI/ML tools, techniques, and languages. Mentor junior data analysts and scientists to enhance their skills and knowledge. Lead projects from inception to completion with a strategic approach. Develop, collaborate, and advance the applied use of AI, ML, simulation, and data science solutions within the organization, ensuring effective solutions for unique business challenges. Contribute to the creation and promotion of best practices, playbooks, and the company’s intellectual capital. Support enterprise efforts utilizing AI capabilities such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, LLMs, and classical machine learning. Stay current on emerging AI technologies and assess their applicability in production environments. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field. 10-12 years of relevant professional experience. 10+ years of software development experience in AI, ML, or data science. Professional programming experience (e.g., Python, R). Extensive experience with AI and machine learning. Experience collaborating on a team and leading data science or analytics initiatives. Experience mentoring junior staff members. Proficient in modeling and simulation. Strong program management experience. Preferred Skills: Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Math, Operations Research, Computer Science). Experience in developing machine learning or signal processing algorithms. Ability to apply mathematical principles to model innovative behaviors. Strong statistical knowledge to differentiate signals from noise. Experience in individual contributor roles in AI or modeling/simulation. Familiarity with the latest technologies for solving operational problems in AI and data science. Knowledge of data structures, cloud computing environments, and software engineering principles. Capability to design customized AI and advanced analytics solutions tailored to customer needs. Experience with program automation, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies. Proven experience in managing technical teams to deliver solutions for clients. Experience tackling optimization problems, such as scheduling. Background in data analytics and visualization. Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP). We offer a competitive salary range between $156,000.00 and $235,000.00, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
