Join JE Dunn Construction as a Senior Estimating and Preconstruction Director for Power Projects. Role Overview In this key leadership role, you will oversee the preconstruction process, ensuring the development of accurate and strategic estimates to support our project pursuits and secure our long-term market position. Your core responsibilities include: Leading the preconstruction process to produce competitive bids, proposals, and detailed cost estimates. Crafting compelling project win strategies and effectively preparing presentations for stakeholders. Managing project teams to ensure an efficient preconstruction execution. Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients and design teams throughout the preconstruction phase. Conducting self-perform estimating tasks when necessary. Creating conceptual budgets and maintaining precise project cost histories. Collaborating with operations to assess risks and align with commercial goals. Providing insights on market trends and cost factors specific to the power sector. Tracking procurement processes to influence successful project delivery and reduce risks. Promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion while adhering to our non-discrimination policy. This role offers an opportunity to influence the future of our power market initiatives and navigate the complexities of power generation effectively. It will involve extensive travel, and while candidates based in Atlanta, GA are preferred, we welcome flexible arrangements based on experience. Key Skills and Qualifications 10+ years of experience in construction estimating. Leadership and people management experience preferred. Proven ability to manage substantial power generation projects. Expertise in EPC models, risk management, and commercial structuring. Strong connections with utilities, developers, and industry stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related fields. Work Environment Must possess a valid driver's license and be open to overnight travel. Willingness to work non-traditional hours as project requirements dictate. Normal office environment with potential exposure to extreme conditions. Physical requirements include frequent sitting and computer use, with occasional standing and lifting up to 10 pounds.
