Tennis Instructor

The Corinthian Yacht Club is a private club on Marblehead Harbor, with a seasonal operation from April-November. We are seeking an energetic Tennis Instructor to lead group and private lessons for youth and adults, focusing on skill development, sportsmanship, and a fun, safe learning environment.Key Responsibilities Plan and conduct group clinics, private lessons, and drill sessions for various ages and skill levels.Teach proper stroke mechanics, footwork, rules, and match strategy.Supervise players on court to ensure safety and positive sportsmanship.Communicate with parents and participants about progress, schedules, and program expectations.Set up and break down courts, maintain equipment, and support special tennis events or tournaments.Greet members that come to the tennis pro shop and take tennis reservations, phone calls and sell merchandise.Maintain courts which includes taking our trash, weeding, clearing debris and putting ice/water in jugs. Requirements Prior experience teaching tennis (group or private) or serving as a camp counselor/coach.Strong knowledge of tennis rules, scoring, and basic to intermediate technique.Ability to manage groups, keep players engaged, and maintain a positive, professional demeanor.Reliable, punctual, and able to work assigned schedule (including evenings/weekends as needed).Ability to stand, move, and lift light equipment for extended periods.
