Refrigeration and HVAC Technician 1

Position Summary: Join our team as a Refrigeration and HVAC Technician, where you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing refrigeration and HVAC systems. Assist with and perform various preventive maintenance tasks on buildings and equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair refrigeration and HVAC equipment as directed. Assist in replacing compressors, large motors, and other components. Maintain a well-organized and accurate inventory of parts. Safely operate vehicles, powered industrial trucks, and aerial lifts. Clean and maintain company service vehicles as needed. Communicate effectively with store personnel regarding equipment use and troubleshooting. Utilize company email to send and receive important communications. Complete all repair documentation, labor records, and parts purchasing in a timely manner. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Assist other skilled technicians in repairs when requested. This role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, lifting up to 70 pounds, climbing, bending, and working in varying temperatures. You must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications Previous Experience/Education: Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals, and schematics. EPA Type 2 Certification is preferred. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of proven refrigeration/HVAC experience with satisfactory performance. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. A valid driver’s license is required. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Compensation: $28.45 - $38.40 per hour
