Position Description Advertised Job Summary The Accounts Payable Analyst performs and manages the Accounts Payable Paycycle process which includes reviewing, auditing and approving all final payments in the PayCycle process. Performs and researches the Accounts Payable exceptions on the PayCycle process and analyzing and determine solutions. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 2 or more years of job related experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other CredentialsPreferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other Business related field with 2 years of accounting experience. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories and terminology of accounting/bookkeeping. Knowledge of state government fiscal accounting processes. Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations. Ability to perform analysis of financial records. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate effectively. Job Duties Job Duty Processing Accounts Payable payment requests and other supplier payments which includes auditing, analyzing, and reviewing payments for accuracy and compliance with all University policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations. Ensuring all payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 35 Job Duty Processing Expense Module Reimbursement payments for Accounts Payable which includes auditing, analyzing, and reviewing payments for accuracy and compliance with all University policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations. Ensuring all payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty Reviews and analyzes the daily exceptions to determine solutions for clearing exceptions. Communicate with Purchasing and Departments/Campuses to assist with solutions for clearing the exceptions. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 20 Job Duty Foster an environment to provide exceptional customer service to the Departments/Campuses by building positive relationships, communicating effectively, resolving problems/issues timely, and adhering to high standards of professional conduct. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 15 Job Duty Assists in the review, analysis and evaluation of financial procedures in Accounts Payable for development of improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
