Job Description Summary As the Lead Supplier Manufacturing Engineer within the Integrated Project Team (IPT), you will play a pivotal role in driving technical problem-solving projects to ensure the timely delivery of hardware for Military Engines. This position demands effective organization and coordination of multi-functional teams focused on delivery enhancements for the Military Engine team and Military Integrated Project Team (MIPT). You will collaborate with manufacturing plants and Supply Chain to resolve technical issues, offering your expertise to guarantee that part drawings meet manufacturing requirements. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Take charge in identifying and resolving constraints affecting hardware delivery at GE Aerospace plants and suppliers through innovative technical solutions. Serve as the technical expert within Military IPT, taking ownership of the performance standards of Military Engine Hardware. Lead high-visibility, cross-functional projects aimed at creating alternative manufacturing methods, developing effective repairs, and enhancing producibility to optimize supplier hardware delivery. Act as the Design for Manufacture Reviewer, ensuring that all drawings are manufacturable and liaising seamlessly with Design Engineering and Project Management. Ensure that the Supply Chain is equipped with the technical capabilities necessary to produce defect-free parts on schedule for military engines. Provide support to suppliers and the Military IPT on interpreting drawing requirements and reviewing part routers against milestone plans. Engage actively in selecting value chain solutions to eliminate constraints for military business operations while collaborating with product line owners to ensure solutions align with strategic value. Assist in managing supply chain changes, providing solutions as required. Required Qualifications A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Industrial Engineering). A minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and/or Industrial Engineering. Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed to meet business objectives. Desired Characteristics Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience in Aerospace, automotive, or similar high-precision industries. Proven project management skills. Experience in reviewing and analyzing technical data, including drawings and models. The base pay range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 USD Annually. Actual compensation may vary based on the applicant's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of the base salary. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Employment will be contingent upon verifying eligibility as a U.S. Person, which includes U.S. lawful permanent residents, U.S. Citizens, or individuals granted asylee or refugee status.
