DetailsClient Name Athol Hospital Job Type Travel Offering Allied Profession Respiratory Therapist (RT) Specialty Registered Respiratory Therapist Job ID 35761648 Job Title Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Registered Respiratory Therapist Weekly Pay $1665.0 Shift DetailsShift Days - 3 x 12 Scheduled Hours 36 Job Order DetailsStart Date 02/04/2026 End Date 05/06/2026 Duration 13 Week(s) Job Description Title Registered Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy Schedule Shift: 7a-7p, with weekend and holiday rotation Assignment Details Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 36 Requirements - Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Therapy program - Licensed as a Respiratory Therapist by the State of Massachusetts - Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (R.R.T.) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (or eligible) - ACLS obtained within 6 months of hire - NRP required or obtained within 6 months of hire - PALS required or obtained within 6 months of hire - Prior experience required - Basic computer skills required Roles & Responsibilities - Systematically gather and evaluate relevant information and data from patient interviews and other information sources to develop appropriate care plans. - Assess and reassess patients' conditions, status, and progress while modifying care plans as needed. - Administer respiratory therapy treatments, oxygen therapy, and medications per physician orders while ensuring patient safety and compliance with protocols. - Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care responsibilities, ensuring understanding and effective communication. - Document the implementation of care plans, including adverse events and patient progress, in compliance with hospital policies. - Coordinate care with other healthcare providers while performing necessary assessments and recommending changes to the plan of care based on patient needs. Compliance / Notes - Responsible for implementing components of the VAP bundle consistently and alerting the Nurse Manager/Director/Nursing Supervisor of any deviations from the protocol.
