As a member of the Data Center Global Controls team, we are seeking a dedicated Controls Technician to focus on the Service and Construction of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) within our data centers. If you are enthusiastic about improving Customer Experience and eager to drive innovations in building controls and automation, this role is for you! The ideal candidate will have: Technical experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining systems associated with industrial controls, sensors, wiring, controllers, and networking. Experience with mission-critical electrical and mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities: Support multiple data centers by deploying, servicing, and upgrading BMS and EPMS systems. Mentor and train Facilities team members on the operation and technical aspects of BMS and EPMS systems. Audit and maintain computer enterprise asset management systems for BMS and EPMS installations. Manage small to medium-sized projects efficiently. Carry out point-to-point checkouts between field devices and controllers. Diagnose and maintain programming code and hardware related to BMS and EPMS. Provision servers, controllers, and network configurations, ensuring communication with third-party devices. Install, replace, configure, and calibrate sensors accurately. Interpret Electrical schematics and control panel drawings proficiently. Supervise low voltage electrical contractors ensuring compliance. Participate in factory tests and oversee commissioning and system-level testing. Create and manage documentation, including red-lined drawings of systems. Follow change management processes for work requests. Conduct root cause analysis and recommend system design improvements. Ensure safety standards are consistently met on site. Provide on-call support and handle after-hours emergencies as needed. Physical Requirements: Ability to work on uneven terrain, at heights, and from ladders. Frequent walking, using hands and fingers, and lifting/carrying up to 49 pounds independently; group lifts for heavier items. Join us in our mission to innovate and support our customers effectively. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis. Commitment to safety and adherence to detailed procedures. Experience in 24x7 mission-critical operations. Capability to manage work through a ticketing system. Experience supervising low voltage electrical contractors. Preferred Qualifications: Operational experience in data centers or similar facilities. Familiarity with device technologies and network troubleshooting tools. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems relevant to data center operations. AWS offers a competitive compensation package reflective of various US geographic markets, with a base pay range of $61,700 to $138,100, depending on skills, experience, and market location.
