The Role The Account Executive for Enterprise Pipeline Activation is crucial in advancing Lumen's strategic enterprise initiatives. This role collaborates closely with Large Enterprise Account Directors and cross-functional teams to enhance deal strategies, optimize commercial positioning, and ensure readiness from initial engagement through to closure. As an embedded deal expert, you will bring commercial insight, execution accuracy, and field credibility to elevate deal quality, increase win rates, and enhance opportunity value. Main Responsibilities Strategic Deal Support: Engage early in significant pursuits to sharpen opportunity framing, validate value propositions, and ensure the commercial viability of deals. Collaborate with Account Directors to ensure alignment between customer needs, solution design, and pricing strategies. Clarify deal strategies, stakeholder relationships, and decision-making processes. Pursuit Enablement: Work hand-in-hand with Account Directors and leadership to maintain focus and consistency throughout strategic pursuits. Introduce accountability into pursuit planning while providing visibility to leadership regarding progress, risks, and necessary actions. Commercial Insight and Financial Discipline: Collaborate with Finance and Offer Management to analyze deal economics, maintain profit margins, and structure contracts effectively. Identify potential commercial risks promptly, recommending protective changes while educating teams on financial decision-making. Executive and Partner Engagement: Coordinate the involvement of internal and external executives in key pursuits. Prepare concise briefing materials, talking points, and action plans to facilitate productive leadership participation. Integrate connected ecosystem partners into pursuit strategies for enhanced capabilities and differentiation. Content and Narrative Development: Assist in creating pursuit materials and narratives that effectively communicate Lumen's transformative value. Ensure all materials are concise, data-driven, and aligned with overarching enterprise messaging. Deal Readiness and Execution Discipline: Verify that all pursuits have clearly defined action plans, coordinated stakeholders, and transparent next steps. Lead progress reviews focused on added value and outcomes rather than mere reporting. Maintain steady pace, quality, and alignment throughout the entire pursuit cycle. What We Look For in a Candidate 5+ years of experience in enterprise deal strategy, commercial enablement, or complex pursuit roles. Strong understanding of enterprise sales processes and multi-stakeholder deal structures. Financial acumen with the ability to assess deal health and structure effectively. Excellent communication skills with a strong analytical mindset. Established credibility across Sales, Product, and Operations for practical execution. A sense of urgency, accountability, and intense commercial focus. Compensation The anticipated base salary range for this position varies depending on location, and individual pay is based on skills and experience. Location Based Pay Ranges: $134,946 - $179,928 in specific southern and midwestern states. $141,694 - $188,925 in states such as Colorado and Michigan. $148,441 - $197,921 in states including California and New York.
