Description Conduct thorough assessments for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized tools and clinical observations. Create tailored intervention plans to fulfill immediate and long-term needs regarding communication, cognitive skills, and swallowing challenges. Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and families, to develop integrated care strategies. Facilitate education for patients and families to promote progress outside clinical sessions. Support with inpatient speech evaluations and care to ensure a seamless transition throughout the treatment continuum. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Stay abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing professional development and cooperation with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Successfully completed a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is needed within 30 days of starting. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices for all age groups, complemented by a robust understanding of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with patients, families, and care teams. Flexibility to adapt therapy techniques according to cultural and linguistic needs. Exceptional clinical judgment and problem-solving prowess. Proficient in electronic medical record systems and documentation requirements.
