In Humana's Internal Audit department, we are seeking an outstanding Lead Internal Auditor who can add value by assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of our operational processes. By joining our team, you'll play a critical role in supporting Humana's strategic and financial goals. The Lead Internal Auditor is responsible for making decisions on moderately complex to complex issues, working with a degree of independence. Your duties will include executing the audit plan, preparing reports for management on risk audit outcomes, and providing actionable recommendations for improvement. Your key responsibilities will involve: Executing operational, compliance, financial, and investigative audits that require detailed evaluation and judgment. Determining the audit scope to effectively assess the adequacy of controls and systems in place. Contributing to the development of the risk-based audit plan, including identifying risks. Reviewing audit work papers and presenting findings to management through written reports and oral presentations. Evaluating data analytics requirements for audits and ensuring their implementation. Providing mentorship and constructive feedback to team members throughout project execution. Identifying audit issues and root causes, recommending enhanced internal controls, and collaborating with business partners to address any outstanding issues. Leading the day-to-day activities of the engagement team while managing your own work priorities. Leading departmental committees and initiatives to drive improvements. Your skills can make a significant impact! Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. 3+ years of experience in public accounting, internal auditing, or accounting consulting. Strong record of successful teamwork and project management. Ability to keep the “big picture” in focus while managing a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. Strong implementation, execution, and troubleshooting capabilities. Excellent relationship-building aptitude with colleagues across departments. Proficient knowledge of healthcare, audits, and/or project management. A genuine passion for contributing to an organization aimed at enhancing consumer experiences. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, PMP, or CFE. Advanced degree preferred. Experience in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence, including tools like PowerBI, Tableau, SQL, & Python. Six Sigma Black Belt, Process Improvement, or Quality Control expertise is a plus. Additional Information: This position can be remote, but occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: The salary range provided is a good faith estimate for full-time (40 hours per week) employment. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications. $86,300 - $118,700 per year This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
