Role Overview: Alterations Customer Support Specialist The Alterations Customer Support Specialist is essential for the efficient functioning of the Alterations department, responsible for providing superior customer service. You will ensure an A+ customer experience and report directly to the Store Manager. Key Responsibilities: Welcome all customers warmly through phone, virtual channels, and in person, showcasing excellent communication skills to resolve concerns and build rapport. Utilize various systems to manage customer flow, ensuring a five-star experience. Adhere to service vows including Prepare, Welcome, Meet Needs & Be There for every customer, guaranteeing operational tasks align with customer needs. Provide exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously, proactively addressing concerns and knowing when to seek leadership support. Communicate effectively the importance of alterations for achieving the perfect fit in collaboration with the Alterations team. Promote all alteration services and personalization options available. Maintain cleanliness and organization in-store, ensuring promotional readiness and overall recovery. Uphold high dress code standards as outlined in company policy. Greet and escort alterations customers to their appointments. Press, steam, and spot clean all merchandise to a high standard. Ensure all garments meet quality control guidelines before final delivery. Build enduring relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Aid in inventory management by processing special orders and pickups, maintaining quality standards for merchandise. Support cash wrap processes, ensuring accurate transactions and a celebratory experience for every customer. Seek guidance from the Alterations Manager for unresolved customer concerns. Keep the alterations room clean and well-organized. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, reach for items, climb stairs, and perform various physical tasks. Manual dexterity needed for using POS terminals, steaming garments, and other non-sales responsibilities. May also involve sewing and fittings. Ability to lift/move up to 10 pounds. Visual capabilities must include close and distance vision, along with peripheral vision and depth perception for reading and using electronic devices. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in apparel or specialty retail. Experience in sewing is advantageous.
