Position: Payroll Specialist for Absence Management Our teams work collaboratively! We embrace a hybrid work model. All candidates must reside near one of our centers of excellence: Dubuque, IA: 4141 Westmark Drive, Dubuque, IA 52002 Dublin, OH: 5500 Glendon Court, Dublin, OH 43016 PRIMARY PURPOSE: To efficiently process payroll actions based on changes to leave status, ensuring accurate data entry and delivering top-notch customer service to both internal and external clients. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure data accuracy by interpreting leave and disability claims, applying appropriate leave and disability codes in payroll and time attendance systems. Review reports for claim accuracy and balance colleague timecards according to the client's paid time-off policy. Respond to inquiries from Human Resources and internal partners regarding plan provisions and administrative procedures. Assist in evaluating absence program results and implement best practices in absence administration. Support management with special projects as needed. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other assigned duties. Contribute to the organization's quality programs. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Licensing: A Bachelor's degree in business or computer-related fields is preferred. Experience: A minimum of two years of administrative support experience, or a combination of education and experience, is required; HR/Payroll experience is preferred. Skills & Knowledge: Familiarity with leave of absence, workers' compensation, and disability leave regulations. Strong oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other PC applications. Excellent analytical and interpretive skills. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills. Able to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Capable of meeting or exceeding performance competencies. WORK ENVIRONMENT: We are committed to reasonable accommodations.
