Vice President of Actuarial Valuation for Group Benefits About the Company An accomplished insurance company dedicated to delivering quality group benefits. Industry Insurance Type Privately Held About the Role We are looking for an experienced Vice President to lead our Group Benefits Actuarial Valuation department. This leadership position plays a crucial role in overseeing actuary valuation and reserving for group benefits products, ensuring adherence to GAAP, IFRS 17, and statutory standards. You will lead reserve valuations, manage intricate actuarial models, and act as the primary actuarial liaison for auditors, regulators, and senior leadership. As a candidate, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, at least 10 years of actuarial experience in group benefits insurance, and hold the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation with active membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAA). We seek an individual with a strong understanding of group benefits products, advanced actuarial modeling skills, and effective risk management capabilities. Experience in annuity valuation, executive-level communication skills, and a solid record of successful remote team leadership are highly desirable. Your responsibilities will also encompass enhancing valuation assumptions and methodologies, as well as effectively communicating reserving findings and insights to senior leadership.
