Department:ICE | NRSL Inpatient Care B IP C Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Clinical Specialist is a licensed nurse who functions within the three spheres of influence; patient-nurse-system. Must possess advanced knowledge of nursing practice and the ability to apply standards within the Inpatient and/or Outpatient practice areas. E4 is a 28-bed ICU unit located in the Harry P. & Betty Jo Ward Towers where care is provided for a wide variety of Medical, Neurology, Neuro-Surgical and Bone Marrow Transplant patients. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a highly-trained all RN staff.Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with Associates Degree, Nursing Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) Four (4)+ years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years' experience in the specialty area for the position Two (2+) years' experience in a leadership role (including Charge Nurse, Team Lead, or RN IV-level at UAMS) Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license Able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate with others effectively Ability to document services provided Understanding of regulatory and compliance organizations/agencies Excellent customer relations skills Understands and abides by confidentiality policies Preferred Qualifications: Master's in Nursing(MSN) Experience in an academic medical setting National Nursing Certification in the specialty area of for the position Additional Information: Responsibilities: Interacts with, and assists, the public in a professional and friendly manner as needed Demonstrates effective communication skills Communicates accurate and complete information Maintains strict confidentiality when necessary Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments Follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of Conduct Guidelines Assists internal and external stakeholders, as needed, with exceptional customer service.
