This pivotal position will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization, especially as we grow a philanthropic network committed to harnessing the power of storytelling for education and social change. The CDE will be passionate about our mission to capture and share transformative stories, while also providing a platform for trustworthy historical information that promotes understanding of democracy, justice, and social change. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in fundraising within the nonprofit sector, demonstrating strategic thinking and the ability to craft comprehensive fundraising strategies, including major gifts, grants, and innovative campaigns. Your experience in fostering and nurturing relationships with donors will be essential, paired with a strong commitment to the values of integrity, historical truth, artistry, and public service that our organization stands for. A background in media, education, or related fields is advantageous, as is an existing network within philanthropic and educational communities. As CDE, you will collaborate closely with our leadership team to ensure the long-term sustainability of our organization, especially following our exciting recent transition to full nonprofit operations and the growth of our digital and educational programs.
