Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques. Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to craft unified care strategies. Provide education for patients and families, equipping them with the tools necessary to support progress beyond clinical settings. Support occasional inpatient therapy sessions with evaluations and interventions, ensuring thorough continuity of care throughout the patient's journey. Keep precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational policies. Engage with ongoing professional development and peer exchanges to remain abreast of advancements in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, along with a profound understanding of both developmental and acquired communication and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal skills, facilitating effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to modify therapy techniques to cater to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
