Position Overview The Sales Specialist for Oncology Diagnostics, within the Invitro Diagnostics Division, plays a vital role in fostering relationships with Key Accounts and Opinion Leaders in the Liver/Hepatology Medical Oncology community. You will manage a specific geographic area and effectively drive sales for FUJIFILM HCC Risk Biomarkers within this influential community. You will interact with Senior Management teams from major IVD manufacturers and maintain an in-depth understanding of IVD reagent systems, distribution channels, and the clinical performance of assays. Job Responsibilities Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of disease states and present a compelling value proposition to customers. Acquire and retain extensive clinical knowledge of tumor types to educate Healthcare Professionals on the importance of liver cancer screening and surveillance. Build key relationships in offices and solicit feedback to ensure customer needs are met effectively. Influence accounts positively by understanding customer goals and tailoring your messaging accordingly. Work diligently to achieve sales targets by identifying growth opportunities and refining sales strategies based on performance insights. Analyze sales data to track trends and modify your strategy as necessary. Utilize available resources and market data to prepare for conversations with key accounts while prioritizing customer needs. Proactively establish networks and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement best practices. Assess and maintain a deep understanding of key customers while cultivating strong stakeholder relationships. Apply strategic thinking in developing and maintaining a robust customer database. Exhibit competency in key account management, selling skills, and best practices. Liaise with office and laboratory staff to provide essential reimbursement support and test coding information. Develop business plans that align with strategic accounts and optimize resource allocations for robust results. Focus on patient needs and build positive relationships with healthcare professionals and opinion leaders to expand the IVD portfolio. Collaborate effectively with all stakeholders, fostering teamwork and communication. Utilize an institutional sales approach with long-term strategies to engage various influencers. Ensure accurate maintenance of business information related to promoted products. Maintain awareness of the volume of business in key areas. Adhere to company and compliance guidelines rigorously. Communicate sales, quality, and compliance issues effectively within the FUJIFILM IVD organization. Utilize IVD reporting systems for sales tracking and expense management. Work alongside the Medical Affairs Team when appropriate. Respond to customer inquiries and follow up on pathways for resolution. Assist in the implementation of capital equipment placements as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing. Perform additional duties as required. Comply with all applicable FDA requirements and regulatory standards, including ISO 13485. Qualifications BA/BS degree required, preferably in biological science or a related discipline. A minimum of 4 years of experience in diagnostic, pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales, or relevant oncology medical experience is preferred. Strong clinical knowledge of various tumor types is highly valued. Experience selling in adult oncology settings is preferred. Proven experience in launching new products and/or indications. Familiarity with both capital and companion diagnostic sales is advantageous. Experience in selling diagnostic or genomic testing is preferred. Sales experience in academic institutions or large oncology accounts is a plus. Familiarity with immunohistochemistry or next-generation sequencing is beneficial. A solid scientific background and understanding of clinical trials is preferred. Excellent negotiation skills are essential. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Willingness to travel as necessary, including overnight and weekend travel. Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required. Strong collaboration skills across functions are essential. A passionate, self-motivated individual is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills are necessary for this cross-functional team role. The individual should understand the essentials of effective business planning and be accountable for their performance. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for 75-100% of the work time. Ability to use hands and fingers for manipulation and typing 100% of the time. Capability to stand, talk, and hear for up to 75% of the work time. Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds for 20% of the work time. Close vision capabilities to see clearly at 20 inches or less.
