Position Purpose: The Senior Manager of Human Resources Consulting is a pivotal role that provides strategic insight and direction in change management, communication, and human capital strategies for Operations projects that affect our stores. This position collaborates closely with operations leaders to grasp business needs and project goals, ensuring maximum value for our Stores and associates. The Senior Manager will work alongside the Human Resources Centers of Excellence at the Shared Services Center on various initiatives to ensure timely and effective involvement of HR resources, leading to an enhanced associate experience. As a champion for change management, this role focuses on realizing program and process benefits while offering expert guidance on HR processes and their impact on associates. The Senior Manager is dedicated to fostering cross-functional partnerships with different HR stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions and gather consistent feedback. The person in this role will advocate for the associate experience throughout Operational changes. Key Responsibilities: Agile Retrospective (10%): Identify and document project issues/risks while monitoring timely resolution. At project completion or phase endpoint, gather and communicate key lessons learned to the PMO and business, applying insights in future projects. Business Partnership & Assessment (35%): Collaborate with business leaders to gain a deep understanding of needs and objectives, ensuring that the people and change management aspects of projects deliver real value. Communication & Collaboration (20%): Ensure key information about projects reaches HR stakeholders and assist in the collection of data, development of project timelines, and change management strategies. Help select success metrics for various initiatives. Thought Leadership (35%): Drive the creation of project plans by providing thought leadership, leading working sessions, and ensuring all facets of the associate experience are considered, including Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Selection, Communication, Organizational Effectiveness, and Change Management. Direct Manager/Direct Reports: This Position typically reports to the Senior Director or Director of Human Resources. This Position may have 0-3 Direct Reports. Travel Requirements: Travel typically requires overnight stays less than 10% of the time. Physical Requirements: This role primarily involves sitting comfortably, with frequent options to move about. Occasional light lifting may be necessary. Working Conditions: Work is usually performed in a comfortable indoor environment, and unpleasant conditions are infrequent and manageable. Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated project management proficiency. Skills to simplify complex or technical concepts for diverse audiences. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience in managing large, cross-functional projects. Prior HR generalist experience. Strong storytelling ability through data using Microsoft tools. Minimum Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Preferred Education: No additional education required. Minimum Years of Work Experience: 8 years.
