Job Summary Our Corporate Information Technology (CIT) Group is seeking an IT Security Analyst IV for our Security Governance team. This position is located in Columbus, Ohio. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough reviews of existing Battelle cybersecurity policies, aligning them with industry and government standards, as well as Battelle's security roadmap and objectives; identify gaps and develop necessary policies to address them. Collaborate with project managers, the cybersecurity team, and the entire IT organization to ensure compliance, facilitate effective remediation, and continuously improve security measures. Oversee the certification and accreditation processes for project information systems. Perform comprehensive risk assessments of information system security controls. Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging trends in cybersecurity. Act as a subject matter expert and liaison for IT-managed projects. Design and lead cybersecurity awareness training programs. Undertake other security-related responsibilities as needed. Key Qualifications Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems and 8 years of relevant experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience. Demonstrated prior experience in IT security is essential. Candidate must be a US person. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on expertise in at least three of the following domains, enabling you to establish policy and assess solutions: Strong preference for compliance experience with FISMA and NIST standards. NIST 800-53 Revision 5. DFARS 252.204-7012. NIST 800-171 CUI. CMMC. Access control practices. Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS). Mobile device management strategies. Wireless access protocols. Firewall configurations. Cyber incident response to inquiries. Information privacy regulations. HIPAA compliance. Identity management systems. Risk management frameworks. Proficiency with Windows and Linux environments. Experience in conducting audits of IT controls. Strong skills in technical writing and communication. Master's degree is preferred.
