Summary: The Field Service Technician II - Solar Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) will play a vital role in the maintenance and operation of utility-scale solar facilities. In this position, you will take part in both preventative and corrective maintenance for essential on-site equipment, including solar panels, trackers, and power inverters. Key Responsibilities: Support senior technicians and set a positive example for junior team members. Troubleshoot low and medium voltage AC and DC power systems efficiently. Conduct regular preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems while effectively utilizing hand tools. Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and maintain an inventory of spare parts while adhering to each site's safety plan. Strictly follow Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures. Interact professionally with project stakeholders, owners, and subcontractors, representing our company in a positive manner. Operate company vehicles in compliance with all vehicle laws and internal policies. Exhibit punctual attendance and adhere to company policies and procedures. Promote a culture of safety and lead by example in safety practices. Safety: Adhere to safety procedures, ensuring that safety is always a priority. Encourage safe behaviors and actively report unsafe conditions. Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) before initiating work tasks. Complete necessary training relevant to job responsibilities before beginning work. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required; a related technical degree is preferred. OSHA 10/30 certification and FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot certification are desired. Minimum of 3 years of relevant maintenance experience. Strong foundational knowledge of electrical power systems, circuit theory, and OSHA regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with electrical tools such as multimeters and IR cameras, and experience with SCADA systems. Willingness to travel domestically 76-100% of the time; valid driver's license is mandatory. Ideal candidates should reside within 60 miles of a major airport, preferably in Denver, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, or Atlanta. Compensation: Anticipated base salary range: $28.09 - $35.11, depending on education, qualifications, experience, and work location. Benefits: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
