Join Our Compassionate Team and Prioritize Health As a Lead Financial Analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in managing data to drive impactful business decisions. This position demands strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex financial challenges. Your expertise in SQL and Excel will be pivotal in building and enhancing models related to our substantial financial accrual process. The Finance team at HQRI supports Humana's Healthcare Quality Reporting and Improvement sector, which is part of the Medicare and Medicaid business. Our team is responsible for developing revenue and risk score projections for bids and budgets, analyzing regulatory changes, and monitoring risk adjustment data submissions while supporting HQRI operations. In this role, you will guide decision-making processes for day-to-day operations and strategic planning, addressing specific performance concerns tied to our financial accrual activities (exceeding $5B in value). Your technical skills and analytical mindset will be essential in identifying, explaining, and enhancing modeling techniques related to financial variances and trends. Collaboration with team members will be fundamental in addressing complex problems. Make a Difference with Your Skills Key Responsibilities: Compile, model, interpret, and analyze data to identify and explain variances and trends that influence business outcomes. Assess current modeling techniques and pinpoint areas for improvement. Deliver precise and timely analyses to inform critical business decisions. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. At least 3 years of technical experience in financial modeling utilizing SQL and Excel (including pivot tables, analytical trends). Proven track record in developing and maintaining analytical models. Able to articulate variances and trends while enhancing modeling methodologies. Experience collaborating effectively with others. Experience dealing with moderately complex to complex issues requiring in-depth analysis of various factors. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Medicare Advantage, particularly in risk adjustment or Stars. Degree in business, finance, analytics, or a related field; or commensurate experience. Work-At-Home Requirements: A minimum internet download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; a wired cable or DSL connection is highly recommended. Satellite, cellular, and microwave connections may only be used with prior leadership approval. Employees working remotely from California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive a bi-weekly payment to cover their internet expenses. Humana will supply Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with appropriate telephone equipment for their roles. Work must be performed in a dedicated area devoid of ongoing interruptions to ensure the protection of member PHI/HIPAA information. Travel: While this position is remote, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be necessary. Schedule: 40 hours per week. Compensation: The salary range for this position reflects a good faith estimate for full-time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay may differ based on geographic location, and individual compensation will vary according to demonstrated skills, knowledge, experience, education, and certifications. Salary: $89,000 - $121,400 per year. This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan, based on individual and/or company performance.
