We are thrilled to invite a motivated Payroll Operations Manager to lead our Payroll Department and uphold our standards of excellence. As the Payroll Operations Manager, you will be key in overseeing comprehensive payroll functions and guiding your team to meet proactive management goals. Your efforts will be vital in ensuring precise payroll processing and compliance while also engaging in special projects that enhance our operations. Key Responsibilities: Administer payroll processes, month-end consolidation, and provide essential processing support. Conduct audits to ensure adherence to internal payroll reporting requirements. Calculate and process termination payments with accuracy. Efficiently manage and reconcile bonus payments. Calculate, pay, and reconcile payroll taxes and associated forms. Effectively communicate with management and staff regarding payroll inquiries. Prepare periodic ad hoc reports as necessary. Foster a process-oriented mindset to ensure alignment and standardization of projects. Collaborate with various departments on project priorities and reporting while identifying potential risks and project statuses. Ensure cross-team collaboration when needed. Identify resource constraints and potential project delays to manage expectations actively. Qualifications and Skills: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or eight years of multi-state payroll experience in a medium or large company. Comprehensive knowledge of payroll systems and processes. Proven leadership skills with a focus on team development and management. Strong grasp of payroll tax regulations and garnishment laws. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Able to develop and review effective policies and procedures. Capability to interpret relevant laws and regulations. Experience in business process improvements. Excellent strategic planning, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Strong customer service orientation. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with Workday Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a fast-paced office environment. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. Work Environment: Standard office setting, utilizing telephones, computers, and other office equipment. Some travel may be required. Physical Requirements: Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. This description outlines the role's responsibilities and duties, which may evolve as organizational needs change. Employment is subject to a clean driving record, a 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and a drug screening process. Proof of high school diploma or GED is also required. Medical and dental insurance options are available. Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and location.
