As an Alterations Expert, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality fittings and alterations, reporting directly to the Store Manager. Your friendly demeanor, technical skills, and commitment to providing outstanding customer service will embody the David's Bridal brand. Key Responsibilities: Provide a warm welcome to all customers through various communication methods including phone, virtual chats, and in-person interactions. Utilize systems to manage customer flow, ensuring a five-star experience. Consistently maintain high service levels by being prepared, welcoming, and attentive to customer needs. Deliver exceptional service to multiple customers simultaneously while contributing to the store’s five-star service achievement. Address customer concerns proactively, knowing when to escalate issues to the leadership team. Explain the importance of alterations in perfecting each dress and promote alteration services. Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting with customers about gown fitting and customization. Keep the shopping environment pristine and welcoming by adhering to store standards. Ensure personal appearance complies with the Dress Code Policy at all times. Escort customers to their alterations appointments and provide personalized attention. Inspect altered garments for quality control before delivering to customers. Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer inquiries regarding products and services. Build lasting relationships with customers to enhance loyalty and satisfaction. Maintain inventory by processing special orders and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Ensure alteration pricing meets company standards and manage all alteration tasks to our specifications. Resolve service issues efficiently while following company guidelines. Support transactions at the cash register with accuracy and care, ensuring customers feel celebrated. Keep the alterations room organized and clean to foster a productive work environment. Complete additional tasks as assigned by store management. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. Capability to reach for objects, climb stairs, and maneuver throughout the store. Manual dexterity is essential for sewing and fitting garments to specifications. Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity necessary for detailed work and using electronic devices. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in an apparel or specialty store. Prior sewing experience in bridal or special occasions is a must.
