RN - Resource Nurse EP Lab

Overview: Join a dynamic team as a Resource Nurse in the Electrophysiology Lab, working full-time day shifts. This role supports quality patient care by efficiently utilizing resources and maintaining systems that empower staff to deliver exceptional care. Flexibility is key, with shifts that may include weekends and holidays. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily patient assignments and conduct rounds with physicians. Serve as the primary contact for physicians and administrators. Provide support and guidance to staff nurses, nursing assistants, monitor technicians, and unit secretaries. Assist with procedures and verify orders. Perform daily quality control and equipment checks. Evaluate patient acuity and assist in staff performance evaluations. Contribute to monthly staff scheduling and clinical education in the absence of the Clinical Educator/Preceptor. Engage with patients and families regularly and coordinate with care teams for discharge planning and patient placement. Implement hospital innovation projects and monitor staff performance related to patient satisfaction metrics. Maintain effective communication through mobile devices and perform other duties as assigned. Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience. Requirements: Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Effective organizational, teaching, and leadership abilities. Physical capability for standing, walking, bending, and lifting; ability to handle potential exposure to infectious materials.
