Our aim is to leverage Indeed's cutting-edge HR Technology and machine learning to improve the matching process between job seekers and job opportunities. As a Backend Software Engineer II, you will be instrumental in developing novel systems that connect job seekers with temporary roles. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and our partner staffing agencies, contributing to impactful results. Key Responsibilities Design and implement innovative ML/AI systems for efficient job and jobseeker matching. Work within a diverse team in an agile environment, emphasizing early results and continuous improvements. Engage in product discovery activities alongside product managers and staffing agency representatives. Conduct comprehensive code reviews to uphold high quality and maintainability standards. Align technical solutions with business objectives, collaborating with product managers and stakeholders. Perform exploratory data analysis to inform decision-making and optimization efforts. Provide mentorship to team members and champion best practices in software engineering. Required Skills and Experience Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software engineering with expertise in a popular programming language such as Python, Java, Kotlin, C++, Go, or Rust. Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying ML-driven matching systems. Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities within a collaborative environment. Fluency in English. Familiarity with AWS and Terraform is a plus. Salary Information We offer a competitive salary range of 109,000 - 204,000 USD per year, depending on experience and location.
