Role Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing both standardized assessments and keen observational insights. Create individualized treatment plans addressing immediate objectives alongside ongoing communication and swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, fluency, and voice while taking swallowing disorders into consideration. Engage cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, to design integrated care plans. Educate patients and their families on how to support therapeutic progress at home. Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth treatment experience throughout. Accurately document patient progress following all applicable regulations and standards. Continuously enhance your professional knowledge through ongoing education and collaboration with peers. Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in California. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment. Essential Skills Mastery of evidence-based treatment strategies across all ages, coupled with a solid grasp of various speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Outstanding communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
