Position Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Drywall Estimator with over 10 years of relevant experience in large commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be adept in providing accurate cost estimates, preparing competitive bid proposals, and collaborating effectively with project managers to ensure the successful execution of drywall installations. Key Responsibilities: Drywall Estimation: Develop comprehensive and detailed cost estimates for drywall work, putting into consideration materials, labor, and equipment. Bid Preparation: Create thorough bid proposals in partnership with internal teams by gathering essential documentation and calculations. Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers, architects, and general contractors to review specifications, blueprints, and requirements for precise estimates. Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analyses and feasibility studies to identify potential savings while maintaining high quality. Material Takeoffs: Execute accurate material takeoffs and quantification for drywall scopes of work. Vendor Coordination: Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes for materials and labor. Contract Review: Engage in assessing and negotiating contract terms, including pricing and change orders. Software Proficiency: Utilize drywall estimating software like QuickBid, PlanSwift, or On-Screen Takeoff (OST) to efficiently manage estimates and track project updates. Budget Monitoring: Assist project managers in tracking budget and costs throughout the project lifecycle. Client Interaction: Provide expert guidance to clients, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring their satisfaction with estimates and drywall services. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in estimating drywall work on large commercial projects. Proficiency in drywall estimating software, including QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), or PlanSwift. Strong familiarity with drywall materials, construction techniques, and building codes. Experience in material takeoffs, bid preparation, and cost analysis. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and project specifications. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
