General Purpose The Retail Loss Prevention Specialist plays a crucial role in our stores by providing a visible presence at entrances and exits, helping to deter theft and fraud while ensuring a safe environment for our associates and customers. You will engage with all customers through eye contact, friendly greetings, and a command presence, all while adhering to the Code 50 package inspection policy. This position also involves walking the sales floor to identify theft indicators as directed by store leadership and partnering with them to ensure compliance with loss prevention strategies. Essential Functions Maintain a safe and secure environment Build strong teams and partnerships Enhance personal and store branding Mitigate theft and fraud Minimize operational shortage Competencies Manage work processes Demonstrate business acumen Plan, align, and prioritize tasks Build and develop talent Collaborate effectively Lead by example Communicate effectively Ensure accountability and execution Qualifications and Special Skills High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree preferred Minimum one year of retail supervisory experience or relevant training preferred One year of loss prevention/security training preferred Active Security Guard License preferred Able to work effectively in a fast-paced setting Strong communication skills Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with store teams Excellent customer service skills Ability to effectively resolve conflicts Compliance with all applicable security laws and regulations, including background screenings and drug testing Physical Requirements/ADA Consistent punctuality and regular attendance Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing and walking Ability to lift and lower objects weighing more than 25 lbs Regular bending, stooping, or crouching required as per daily business needs Additional skills and qualifications may be required for specific assignments Supervisory Responsibilities None This job description summarizes the primary responsibilities of the position and is not intended to be exhaustive.
