Join Our Team and Make a Difference! UniFirst is looking for a dedicated and skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to become an integral part of our team. In this role, you will perform corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance on our fleet vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. Alongside our Maintenance Department, you'll keep our fleet compliant with all regulatory requirements, including DOT standards. Key Responsibilities: Ensure that all fleet vehicles are properly registered and compliant with current inspections and documentation. Complete scheduled preventative maintenance to maximize fleet performance and minimize downtime. Conduct corrective and predictive maintenance to ensure vehicles are safe and meet all regulatory standards. Maintain vehicle appearance according to UniFirst branding and cleanliness standards. Keep the garage organized and safe; source parts while monitoring pricing for effective repairs. Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance tasks accurately. Assist with additional tasks as directed by management to support fleet operations. Qualifications: What We’re Looking For: High school diploma or GED is preferred. Must be at least 21 years old. Associate's degree from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements. CDL license is a strong plus for performing road tests and servicing Class A vehicles. Proven diagnostic skills, with diesel experience being an advantage. Availability for overtime and occasional road calls. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including preventive maintenance, tire and wheel service, brake systems, drivetrain, suspension, and computerized diagnostics. Basic computer skills and proficiency with diagnostic software. Ability to safely lift up to 80 lbs.
