Join our dynamic team as a Day Shift PLC Technician and play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of our production operations! This position emphasizes the design, programming, repair, and maintenance of programmable logic controller (PLC) systems essential for our bottling and processing functions. You'll inspect equipment to guarantee optimal performance and execute preventative maintenance according to manufacturers' specifications. Your expertise may also extend to supporting the repair and installation of various advanced manufacturing equipment. Key Responsibilities: Perform regular preventative maintenance on PLC systems to ensure reliability and efficiency. Utilize your technical skills to program and repair PLC systems. Conduct maintenance or repairs on advanced production equipment as needed. Monitor and analyze equipment breakdowns to enhance system performance. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist in upgrading production lines with cutting-edge equipment and technology. Coordinate activities of external contractors on assigned production lines. Facilitate smooth package changeovers for uninterrupted production flow. Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards. Work independently while effectively managing your tasks with minimal supervision. Document completed work and keep precise records of your schedule. Basic Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. Pass a technical assessment that evaluates critical maintenance competencies. Hands-on experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, relays). Background in electrical system installation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with electronics, including level probes and flow meters. Strong knowledge of PLC systems and industrial maintenance. Ability to interpret product manuals for repair guidance. Experience in reading and understanding electrical blueprints and schematics. Excellent troubleshooting abilities for diagnostics and problem-solving. Helpful Experience: Knowledge of mechanical systems including gearboxes and motors. Experience with refrigeration and ammonia systems. Familiarity with conveyors and airveyors. Experience with hydraulic systems, pumps, and valves. Understanding of kinematics and production line specifications. Background in packaging and high-speed production settings. Experience with pneumatic systems and air compression. Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices. Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical failures. Able to read mechanical drawings related to hydraulics and pneumatics. Skilled in collaborative teamwork with peers. This role may require working in proximity to heat, noise, gases, and chemicals, along with frequent lifting, climbing, and physical activity. Weekend and holiday work may also be required.
