Join us and learn more at Position Overview:KODA Technologies is seeking an RF Antenna Test Equipment Engineer to support the Sustainable Lunar Development (SLD) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, layout, and documentation of RF antenna test cards and associated test equipment for avionics systems integral to the SLD launch vehicle. This role requires hands-on expertise in card-level RF circuit layout, test equipment design, and the production of engineering drawings that meet aerospace manufacturing and test standards.This position sits at the intersection of RF engineering and design, requiring the ability to translate RF antenna specifications and system requirements into precise card-level layouts suitable for fabrication, assembly, and functional testing within a human spaceflight program environment.What You'll Be Doing: Develop card-level layouts for RF antenna interface boards supporting SLD avionics test equipment, including GPS, telemetry, and command/control RF systemsApply RF PCB design principles, including controlled impedance routing, ground plane management, RF shielding, and isolation to minimize signal interferenceCreate and maintain detailed block diagrams illustrating signal flow from RF antenna inputs through test card interfaces to rack-level test equipmentCoordinate with antenna subsystem engineers to ensure test card electrical interfaces properly characterize RF performance parameters (VSWR, insertion loss, return loss, isolation)Support design reviews, including PDR, CDR, and test readiness reviews for RF test equipmentProduce wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and harness drawings for RF test equipment in support of the SLD programGenerate acceptance test plan documentation covering RF signal characterization, voltage compliance testing, and functional verification of antenna test cardsUtilize Creo for mechanical assembly documentationSupport procurement analysis for RF components, connectors, and PCB fabrication vendors; assess ITAR compliance, cost, and schedule riskParticipate in weekly status reporting, tracking progress on card layout deliverables against the baseline scheduleCollaborate with Blue Origin engineers via AWS-based network infrastructure; maintain compliance with customer IT security requirements What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF/Microwave Engineering, or closely related disciplineMaster's degree preferred for senior-level placementMinimum 5 years of experience in RF/microwave circuit design or RF test equipment engineering within an aerospace, defense, or commercial space environmentDemonstrated experience with card-level RF PCB layout including controlled impedance, RF shielding, and multi-layer stack-up designExperience producing engineering drawings (block diagrams, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings) for avionic or RF test equipmentFamiliarity with acceptance test plan development for RF and electrical systemsProficiency in RF PCB layout tools (Zuken CR-8000, Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or equivalent)Working knowledge of Creo Parametric for mechanical assembly documentationExperience with RF measurement equipmentFamiliarity with RF connector types Understanding of RF system parametersWorking knowledge of drawing release and revision controlMust be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Experience specifically supporting launch vehicle or spacecraft avionics RF systems (GPS, telemetry, TT&C, radar altimeter)Prior work on Blue Origin, NASA, human spaceflight or space launch programsFamiliarity with applicable aerospace standardsExperience with environmental test qualification processes (thermal cycling, random vibration, shock per MIL-STD-810 or equivalent) KODA Technologies Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, status as a parent, national origin, disability (physical or mental), family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, or other non-merit based factors.
