Job Summary and Qualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all unit functions during designated shifts. The CNC collaborates with the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care following established policies and procedures, while serving as a resource for staff and modeling dedication to the organization’s mission and values. Key Responsibilities: Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient care transitions. Participates in assessing the quality of patient care services delivered in the unit. Fosters a collaborative environment of teamwork and improved patient outcomes. Engages in service recovery while maintaining a patient-first philosophy. Implements initiatives for enhanced employee engagement and effective nursing strategies. Assists with interviewing, selecting, and training staff while contributing to performance evaluations. Supports staff scheduling and manages labor in alignment with patient care needs. Oversees inventory control and assists in managing supplies and equipment. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a NICU Registered Nurse (RN). 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Licenses and Certifications: Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License (Texas license must be secured within 90 days of hire). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required. S.T.A.B.L.E. Neonatal Education Program Certification is preferred.
