Commercial Relationship Specialist II This position is responsible for providing diversified support to the process of originating commercial loans. The Commercial Relationship Specialist II (CRS II) will assist the Commercial Relationship Managers with customer and administrative support. The CRS II actively leads within the loan workflow process. The CRS II assumes full ownership and responsibility for all administrative and support processing for loans from application to closing. The CRS II acts as the liaison between the Relationship Manager and customers, acting as the point of contact for established customers. The CRS II additionally acts as an integral teammate between the commercial lending, credit services and loan operations departments to enhance communications, provide support in documentation gathering and in answering applicable questions. Essential Functions: Understand all relevant bank lending policies, procedures and regulations and perform duties in such a way as to maintain compliance with stated standards and/or acts. Set up, manage and provide ongoing maintenance to electronic customer files. Monitor application pipeline for compliance with applicable regulations, including Reg B. Actively collaborate with Relationship Managers, Credit Operations, Credit Analysts and Credit Underwriters to transition loans from application to closure. Proactively participate throughout the loan workflow process by entering new loan requests in loan origination system, submitting new loan requests for analysis, conduct research on borrower, guarantor and collateral, provide applicable disclosures and complete due diligence based on loan structure and collateral. Prepare the loan for credit action, set up client credit files and submit the credit for underwriting. Maintain client credit files throughout the process. Manage the loan closing process ensuring that all conditions of loan approval are satisfied and documented prior to closing and funding of the loan. Assumes ownership of preparing the commitment documentation, presenting the offer, clearing of conditions to close and coordinating the loan documentation package. Initiate and maintain communication with appropriate stakeholder to the loan closing process, including attorneys, accountants, closing agents, insurance agents, realtors, and borrowers. Schedule loan closings and coordinate with Pre-closing. Order and review loan documents for accuracy and completeness to ensure all documents are properly executed by relationship manager. Disburse loan proceeds, close out workflow, and add to tracking spreadsheet before forwarding to Post-Close for booking. Complete the process for adverse/withdrawn loans. Prepare financial request letters. Process, track and update ticklers for financials and covenants. Assist in pending loan issues with other departments. Assist customers with questions, payments, advances and loan inquiries. Prepare documents in Word and Excel. Screen calls, e-mails and processing mail and invoices, ordering office supplies. Register with PAN to be a notary for loan documents/closings. Support the achievement of lending department KPIs for loan volume and quality of processing: One business day from application hitting queue through submission to credit; Accurate completion of submission to credit (monitored by errors and completion of package); and Error rate on loans closed. Performs tasks with little supervision. Perform other duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values. Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Associates Degree and/or graduate of a professional secretary or administrative assistant school preferred. 2-3 years of relevant lending experience; preferably within an agricultural or commercial lending bank environment. Advanced understanding of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Sound judgment and problem solving abilities. Excellent telephone etiquette. Ability to effectively prioritize and handle a number of demanding tasks simultaneously. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and possess excellent communication skills. Familiar with lending software, document imaging and filing systems. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional work environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, printers, scanners, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines. Due to physical location of this position, phone ringing, and people conversing, it may be difficult to hear at times and therefore easily distracting. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Flexibility in schedule is required, particularly when meeting deadlines, and is crucial including possible periods of overtime. Travel: This position may require travel.
